ya either way with tha aerial lit upyou could get done for impersonating a police vehicle. even if its white it looks blue so the cops would get you for it and its a heft penalty
Errr, my old blue parkers in my old car were not bright or blinding in any way shape or form, i was defected pretty much soley for those. Didn't take long for them to notice them either. Please yourself though.
no, it flashes, and the LEDs in it are blue (the casing is white/chrome) so it's off while I'm driving. But I have a red bulb in it that lights up for braking
I know they are a defect, and the ONLY reason they are is because parkers can only be the colour the vehicle came off the line with, ie. Commodores were made with white parkers which must stay white. I shall be changing them back soon (When I put them in, I didn't kow they were illegal, was the first thing done to the car virtually as soon as i bought it)
And no, (who ever it was), I don't change my story every 5 mins, I have NEVER stated that the parkers are legal, because I know they are not, I HAVE BEEN to the police station and asked about them, and the officer said "They are illegal unless the car is made with that colour". So why be a coward and give the rep when you can even GET the facts right

Well I drive around with washers on, undercar on (usually purple) and they are always passing me...I don't drive like an idiot, so the ONLY thing they would be able to pull me up for is lights...but... (hoping this doesn't get me more neg rep), I know the loops holes and know specifically what they can and can't grab me for...If they were to give me a defect for anything other than the parkers I WOULD take them to court, as there are NO specific laws saying the lights on my car are illegal.
You would take them to court over lights? It would be cheaper and less painful just to take the bloody things off your car. And you would lose in court, who is the judge going to look favourably upon more? A young bloke in a Commodore, or a police officer? Let's hope it doesn't get to that point though.
