VS Series II S Pack Manual
Hey guys.

New to JC, as I just bought my first Commodore a week and a half ago.
It's my baby, my project, my hobby, my stress relief.

I got it off a mate of a mate, and thought I scored pretty well...

It's a 1996 VSII S Pack with:
- 129,00kms - now 136,000kms
- A 5sp manual from a VSIII Ute (Although the cruise is still auto, so I have to remember to be in 5th before I hit it...)
- Paid $5,000
- Roadworthy only cost me $600 and the guy I bought it off gave me half that back :yeah:
- Makes about 580km/Tank on Freeway (Figure just under 100km/10L)
- VGC - Only a few small scratches
- Rear has been debadged (looks better) :yeah:

I have so far:
- installed a JVC head unit (missus' choice)
- Installed a pod filter
- Detailed the car

Future mods:
- CAI (with pod)
- 2.5" Straight through exhaust
- Extractors
- Higher ratio rockers (thinking 1.9:1)
- Reduce diff ratio
- (Possibly) CF supercharger with intercooler
- 17"/18" Mags

It's gonna take a while and a pocketful, but hopefully it turns out ok.

Will post some pics up when I take some.

Would love some feedback/ideas on whats good and not.

im not expert but i have been told by a few people that a 3" exhaust on a v6 is a bit of an overkill with backpressure but meh

Yea you're right. Been told by a couple of my mates. But if I supercharge it, I think a 3" would be suffice. For now though i think I'll go a 2 3/4" just to keep the backpressure.

Cheers

hey mate, a 2.5inch on an ecotec sounds great, especially if you delete the resinator, my mate had three inch on his ecotec and it wasnt very nice, but each to their own. Good on you for hunting down the manual:thumbsup:

Oh no!

 Oh NO!!!

My clutch is buggered! Dumped it one too many times I guess... It's gonna cost me a bit to fix.
God damn Getrag gearboxs. $$$$$ Up for $1500+ fitted if I have to replace the flywheel. There's a big hole outta my mod money.
Why can't I have a Borg!?!?!

I had my car off the road to rebuild the engine, took a while so missus' car was the daily mover.
Kept payin my rego when it was due, then forgot that I only paid a 6 month rego!

I took it for a roadworthy and they gave me like a list of 25 things to fix!!
i'm so bummed... it's gonna cost me so much time and dosh$$ thankgod i've a gregory's.

I'll keep you posted on what ive done so far... also any hints tips and tricks you can give me would go along way to getting a beautiful car back on the streets :)

List from Roadworthy:-

- R/H number plate light not working ✓
- L/H tail light cracked and boot garnish light not working ✓
- L/H boot garnish reverse light cracked ✓

- Clutch hose not secured ✓
- Brake master cylinder leaking (No it's not, YOU just didn't put the reservoir seal in when you checked the levels.... call yourself a mechanic!!!) ✓
- Link pin bushes (F&R) ✓
- Windscreen has light scratches from wiper blades dislodging ✓
- Engine mounts collapsed ✓
- Centre bearing worn ✓
- High pressure steering hose may be leaking?? na its not ✓

Is this a post of your car, or just a general statement regarding the Road worthy state of it?
