Yep all round. Had braided brake lines fitted too. I also had a solenoid fitted to the back brakes to turn them off just for skids.
Nah. I forget the rear diameter off hand but they're 8 pot front 6 pot rear. They sell at NZ$3500 for the complete set. Fairly cheap.
Had My VX S Pac written off at probably 70-80kph, but from another car hitting me in the passanger side. Can say they are a solid car, saved my co-workers life. Couldn't imagine a 200kph accident though, to think I have pushed an S Pac to that sorta speed. :/
wow mate, that gave me chills just looking and reading this thread, must be hard sharing it and remembering it all again glad your ok and moving on with a new rebuild, look forward to seeing it!
My mate manages a Holden wrecking yard (where I brought my shell). He's worked there for well over a decade. He can count how many wrecked cars that have resulted in fatals on one hand. Says a lot.
Cheers Wog. Wen I look at the pix I just think I don't want that to happen again. Loosing my 6yr old staffy was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through... So if I had of killed my passenger/mate I couldn't have lived with myself. Seriously. We live n learn huh. I'm Looking forward to watching the built too. Any updates will be posted.
How much were those re-reinforcements that saved your mates life, and what website/shop did you order them from.? Looking forward for the rebuild, and I'm glad you are all safe and not seriously injured.
mate thats amazing...would also like to know more about those body reinforcement kits...also have vx clubby and young kids and any extra protection i can get would be cheap insurance against the crazies on the road today...
The Di Filipo headers are getting straighten today. The interior of the new shell is getting completely gutted. Dash was just about out. Getting quotes for the re-paint. Shying away from the semi gloss black though.
The 3' cut outs arrived last week. I'll be fitting them right after the headers. The interior is coming along nicely. Black (though the pic looks grey) head linning went in today. The carpet went down today too. Dash goes in tomorrow then it's just the seat. The front passenger seat is getting rebuilt this week. Next week it's off the the paint and panel shop.
