Absolutely. You could say, you'd have to be stupid not to learn from it.

A few of us would like to know a bit more about the chassis strengthening. Any chance you can remember where you got it or price? Thanks. Build is going pretty quick!

I could of lost my flatmate in the passenger seat. How people that are responsible for man slaughter get through day to day life beats me. I couldn't live with myself. It is hard enough knowing that because of my stupid actions I lost my much loved 6yr old staffy in the back.

I'm looking into that in the next couple of weeks.
What ever I find out I'll throw up here.

I was trying to get the left side remade as the drivers side is ok. But trying to find the same box section that has a wall thickness of 4.2mm is proving had to find. So I might have to buy another kit from the states.

    Not long to go now.
All the panels getting put back together this week. Still waiting on the side skirts and bumpers to come back from the repair shop. From the paint shop it goes to Magoo Muffers to get the exhaust dump valves fitted then it's getting a final groom before it goes back on the skid pad. ;)

That's right but this paint is just a little bit special. It's deeper than the stock Phantom with add metallic. ;)

The clear coat is getting buffed tonight. Still bumpers and side skirts to go.

I'm also changing the rims to these advanti phantic 18X9's.

I'm not one to sway to pear pressure. The only reason I like owning a Chevy badge on my Holden is, I'm actually respecting the power plant that sings when my foot is to the floor. That has nothing to do with Holden. THAT's Chevy power threw and threw mate. LS Chevy power RULES! ;)

    Through and through.

Unless you "threw" the badge in the bin then chev badges on holdens are fail.

I run a, "Chevy" motor in my Holden not a Holden motor and I choose to badge my ride with the power plant. Thousands of us all do it, get over it. :)

I'm sure there is a, "hate chevy badges on Holden's" thread around here. Do you mind adding to that thread and stop spamming mine please?
    Thanks,

    Pete.

For all that want to know about chassis braces.
VCM Suite used to stock the chassis braces (only ones in Australia at the time that I know of), they sourced these kits from BMR suspension in the states from memory.
Not sure if this is the same kit as the one the OP had, but it is the only one I could find that was sold in Australia some time ago.

    Hope this help.

    Awesome!
Big thanks to that info mate. I was still trying to find the kit I had on my VX. With any luck this will help.

    Cheers,
    Pete.
