    No worries,

Damn it... I missed the most vital piece of info in my last post, they no longer sell the kits, they told me to get one straight from BMR directly.

    Thanks again.
I've jumped on their FB page and messaged them from there. With any luck they'll be able to help. They make some awesome kits..

    Pete.

Good work! (saves on the unbolting process)
Question: is there a reason you pointed the cutouts inwards and towards each other? are you going to build twin 3.5" to single 5" mega dump-pipe from them. LOL

Like the idea of a single 5' mega dumo-pipe. Like your style. ;)

I'm glad you pointed that out.
I wanted the cutouts pointing towards the chassis rails or outwards but there was simply no room for the cutout motors. The only option was to point them to the centre. :(
From here I aim to mount X2 short 3.5' dump pipes pointing down to take the heat off the floor of the car.

    Cheers.
    Pete.

    It is Woods.
I just shelled out $400NZ for original decals today. :(
But it had to be done. I want it looking the same as it was before I stacked.

No bonnet, no mirrors, no bumpers, no tailights.
Full engine, exhaust, running gear, wheels, tyres. All the necessary stuff for skids, nothing that is not. :driving: respect!

I'm not ashamed to admit it. As soon as all the running gear was in, brakes and wheel alignment done? I thought, bro, can I use your side pad please? LOL
At 10 seconds in that clip when the cutouts were open? I was like, game on! But to tell the truth. Before I incinerated the rubber we all had turns driving it up the road with the cutout open. Felt like we were driving a Nascar. Not that any of us have. But anyway.
So pleased to have her almost ready to be street legal.

Fair call. I respect your thoughts mate. Fact is, I lost control on a undulating road 5k away from bros skid pad. Killed my much loved 6 year old Staffy bitch. She was our baby mate. I'll never ever forget her. I killed her doing a stupid speed on a road I knew well. I wish I could relive it and bring my girl back, but she's gone.
This skid pad of my brothers is always used in the highest respect. Not the same way as my stupid actions I'm responsible for on the road I killed my dog on.......

    Kiddo.
This is where the impact was. You'll see the sideways skid makes up to the new lampost we snapped before we landed on our lid..

This isn't the same as doing a few skids on bros skid pad. That was just plain stupid. And I know it.

Cheers. I do respect your thoughts all the same...

We can only live and learn.
I'm rooting for Holden this weekend. Can't wait for the racing to start here in kiwi land.

I understand. Either does my partner or my closest friends. ;)

At the end of the day. This build thread is here just to show the progress of the re-shelling of an old VX.

Some of you have expressed interest in the chassis strengthening kit I had installed in my Clubby. I'm certain that it helped save our lives. So I've been tracking it down. Much to the help of TI3VOM and this forum. ;)
The people at BMR have been very helpful in getting me a replacement chassis kit for the left side.
They gave me a link to their website where you can purchase it from.
