This is my 2002 Supercharged V6 L67 VX Wagon, which my father bought brand new then sold to me in 2008 when I got my P's. I drove it as a daily for just over 7 years before buying my VE Wagon, and now use it for times I can't be bothered with manual (Heavy traffic), when I'm parking in scummy places or when I take my dogs places (They won't fit in the VE, and I want to keep it clean).

The car is currently sitting on 350,000km +. The first engine made it to 267,000KM before dying due to incompetent mechanics, although that was what made me start learning how to do car stuff myself. The next engine came from a VY with just under 100,000KM on the clock. I put a further 76,000KM on it before removing it in perfect order.

The current engine is an L67 removed from a VX with 210,000KM on it. Hopefully this one will stay in it for a while.

    Cosmetic mods

    - Leather front seats from a VZ
    - Blacked out headlining and pillars
    - VY Tail lights
    - Blue and black leather steering wheel, centre console, hand break and shift
    - Blue and white LED dash conversion
    - Various chrome covers and painted pieces in the engine bay
    - Blue radiator hoses
    - VE Calais V wheels
    - Blue callipers
    - 18% tint all round
    - Colour coded roof racks

    Suspension

    - Heavy duty rear springs
    - Whiteline 18mm rear sway bar
    - Signature 30mm adjustable front sway bar
    - Whiteline strut brace
    - All front bushes replaced with Nolathane or super pro

    Performance

    - L67 conversion
    - MACE performance memcal
    - 87mm (10PSI) MACE supercharger pulley
    - Twin 2.5” Zetti catback
    - MACE CAI with K&N filter (which was blue and chrome until the first clean)
    - Stage 2 shift kit by MPS
    - Holden transmission cooler
    - 3.46:1 LSD
    - DBA T3 slotted rotors and Forza FP3 pads

    Other mods

    - Pioneer head unit
    - Alpine speakers
    - GW1-H Dash cam
    - 2100kg heavy duty tow bar (Factory fitted)

    Future mods

    - Some low (maybe 30cm)
    - Leather rear seats
    - Intercooling
    - Full exhaust
    - High ratio roller rockers
    - GPS tracking
    - Rebuild the diff
    - Sound deadening

    Repairs needed

    - Some rear bushes
    - Centre bearing
    - The front suspension (springs and struts) are getting tired

The dream (Mods that are unlikely to happen in the near future)

    - L67 Conversion (Done!)
    - 3.46:1 LSD (Done!)
    - Rebuilt transmission (When I did the L67 conversion I kept the original transmission but swapped the stall convertor)
    - Full respray (same colour)(Front end resprayed previously due to failing clear)
    - Coilovers
    - Maybe ditch the L67 and drop in an LS1

Just an update to show some new pictures of what I have done.

Blue dashboard, black marble shifter surround, VY steering wheel, blue and black leather gear stick and handbrake (centre console and a VY wheel to follow), and the best bit, Blue LED's for all the lights (Including the window switches in the back) with white needles and highlight, huge thanks to Lakers in Cranbourne for rigging up all the lighting (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vt-Ve-Custom-LED-Lighting/152421464861106?fref=ts) I've also started putting in VYSS pedals, just need to find the time to fit the accelerator pedal.

I've also changed my tail lights to the much nicer VY ones, and will soon change them to the ones with black borders. And ordered new wheels

    NEW WHEELS!!!

Now just to sort insurance before I fit them. And do something about my calipers. Gave this one a quick (30 seconds) polish with a wire brush drill bit and the difference was huge, jut debating polished vs painted (white, silver, blue?).

Finally got my new plates on. Got to love having a 3 letter surname. I love plates that are custom to me but look normal to others.

I also got bored on my day off and attacked my drivers side A pillar with a can of vinyl dye. I'll see how it holds up and decide to either change it back or do the whole car. Still trying to get black sun visors off of eBay but they are proving to be quite rare.

    Few new things to add.

The first is a new exhaust courtesy of Not_An_Abba_Fan. It's a nice 2.5 inch Manta catback with the front muffler and rear resonator. Still trying to decide on a tip, will try to get a video up when I install it.

Next is a new dashbord courtesy of brandon119412 on eBay. The guy does some awesome dashes, and will even do custom stuff (Marbling, wood grain, writing, pictures) for a good price.

Next, finally got around to installing my MACE plenum spacer (An excuse to buy a new torque wrench), CAI coming soon. I also painted the edges silver just to make it a bit more discreet.

And I also finally installed (one of) my new leather arm rests. Genuine NOS. will do the other ones later, need more super glue and I can't drive until my plenum sealant dries.

    More coming soon!

Did some more inside work. Tidied the dash up a bit, so now the 3 way splitter for the 12 volt sits in that little compartment, which is now marble to match the shifter surround. The AUX in cable now disappears behind the dash and runs out of the centre console.

I've also installed all the black trim I have at the moment, A and B pillars, visors and hand holds. I'm trying to track down the remaining trim but it's pretty hard to find wagon stuff. Once I have it all I'll probably get the headlining done in black to match.

FINALLY got the wheels and cat back into place. Sounds really nice. Only problem is the Exhaust mob got sent the wrong tip and just fitted it hoping I wouldn't notice (it was cheaper than the one I wanted, not happy), so that will hopefully be fixed soon.

Got my proper exhaust tip fitted a while back, as well as getting around to fitting my new steering wheel. Looks nice having the wheel match everything else now. Will look even better when I finish installing my chrome door handles (Putting them on each door as I put the trims back on after changing the speakers.

I also took a trek down to MPS and got myself a Stage 2 shift kit. Brilliant little mod, makes the car feel a lot more snappy through the changes, and removes that lag before a shift down when you accelerate with vigor (I love it every time i get to the section of road where it goes from 80km to 110 on the way to work).

Getting closer to the big 300,000! Also, I didn't take the photo, passenger did.

Also got my MACE CAI. Looks a lot neater than the factory set-up. Sounds nicer and improves throttle response as well.

And lastly, got this for $50, although it may be a while before I get around to painting and fitting.

I've thought about it. If I hadn't just done the shocks and springs in the ring I'd consider maybe low. But I really need it to be practical enough for dirt roads and such.

Thanks mate. I remember when dad got the car he had to wait aaaages for colour as it was the end of the VX and they didn't have one ready. Was worth the wait though.
