VXII L67 Berlina Wagon and VEIISSV M6 Sportswagon
This is my 2002 Supercharged V6 L67 VX Wagon, which my father bought brand new then sold to me in 2008 when I got my P's. I drove it as a daily for just over 7 years before buying my VE Wagon, and now use it for times I can't be bothered with manual (Heavy traffic), when I'm parking in scummy places or when I take my dogs places (They won't fit in the VE, and I want to keep it clean).

The car is currently sitting on 390,000km +. The first engine made it to 267,000KM before dying due to incompetent mechanics, although that was what made me start learning how to do car stuff myself. The next engine came from a VY with just under 100,000KM on the clock. I put a further 76,000KM on it before removing it in perfect order.

The current engine is an L67 removed from a VX with 210,000KM on it. Hopefully this one will stay in it for a while.

Cosmetic mods

  • Leather front seats from a VZ
  • Blacked out headlining and pillars
  • VY Tail lights
  • Blue and black leather steering wheel, centre console, hand break and shift
  • Blue and white LED dash conversion
  • Various chrome covers and painted pieces in the engine bay
  • Blue radiator hoses
  • VF Evoke Wheels
  • Blue callipers
  • 18% tint all round
  • Colour coded roof racks
Suspension

  • Lowered 2cm all around
  • Whiteline 18mm rear sway bar
  • Signature 30mm adjustable front sway bar
  • Whiteline strut brace
  • All bushes replaced with Nolathane or super pro
Performance

  • L67 conversion
  • Dyno tuned by Boost and Tune Performance
  • 87mm (10PSI) MACE supercharger pulley
  • Twin 2.5” Zetti catback
  • MACE CAI with K&N filter (which was blue and chrome until the first clean)
  • Stage 2 shift kit by MPS
  • Holden transmission cooler
  • 3.46:1 LSD
  • DBA T2 slotted rotors
Other mods

  • Pioneer head unit
  • Alpine speakers
  • 2100kg heavy duty tow bar (Factory fitted)
Future mods

  • Leather rear seats (not a chance this is happening with kids regularly in the back)
  • Intercooling
  • Full exhaust
  • High ratio roller rockers
  • GPS tracking
  • Rebuild the diff
  • Sound deadening
Repairs needed

  • Clear coat peeling on the roof

The dream (Mods that are unlikely to happen in the near future)

  • L67 Conversion (Done!)
  • 3.46:1 LSD (Done!)
  • Rebuilt transmission (When I did the L67 conversion I kept the original transmission but swapped the stall convertor)
  • Full respray (same colour)(Front end resprayed previously due to failing clear)
  • Maybe ditch the L67 and drop in an LS1 (Or wait another 5-10 years for electric conversions to be doable)

Thread update July 2021. I noticed a while ago that all the links to photos are dead. I'll go through and replace/remove them all eventually. Still have the car, still loving it but unfortunately nothing exciting to report on.

Just an update to show some new pictures of what I have done.

Blue dashboard, black marble shifter surround, VY steering wheel, blue and black leather gear stick and handbrake (centre console and a VY wheel to follow), and the best bit, Blue LED's for all the lights (Including the window switches in the back) with white needles and highlight, huge thanks to Lakers in Cranbourne for rigging up all the lighting (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vt-Ve-Custom-LED-Lighting/152421464861106?fref=ts) I've also started putting in VYSS pedals, just need to find the time to fit the accelerator pedal.

I've also changed my tail lights to the much nicer VY ones, and will soon change them to the ones with black borders. And ordered new wheels

NEW WHEELS!!!

Now just to sort insurance before I fit them. And do something about my calipers. Gave this one a quick (30 seconds) polish with a wire brush drill bit and the difference was huge, jut debating polished vs painted (white, silver, blue?).

Finally got my new plates on. Got to love having a 3 letter surname. I love plates that are custom to me but look normal to others.

I also got bored on my day off and attacked my drivers side A pillar with a can of vinyl dye. I'll see how it holds up and decide to either change it back or do the whole car. Still trying to get black sun visors off of eBay but they are proving to be quite rare.
