Vz sv6 commodore
Gday all my name is Brad.
My car is a 2004 Vz Sv6 commodore. Alloytech190 ly7 engine with the 5spd auto 5l40e (i think).
Stock all round not bad for a swap hehe.
My old car was a lancer needed something bigger.
Got a poineer head unit with Sony sub an amp. Has bit of fade on spoiler, front bumper an lil on roof. I was thinking getting a wrap color matched to cover it cheaper than paint plus more resistant.
I wanna get bit more up an go in it was thinking.
Full stainless exhaust system with cats.
Throttle controller.
An eventually an growler Cai.
Dont wanna go turbo or anything something simple.
Any recommendations would be appreciated cheers. P.S lilly my cat is my assistant going in my tool draw lol.

Don't bother with throttle controller.

2 hole mod the air box , plenum spacer and a 3.46 diff.

Extractors and cats make these things sound horrible and extremely loud even with centre and rear mufflers.

If do fit headers , cats and aftermarket exhaust make sure it's mild steel and get a couple of Redback hotdogs welded inbetween the cats and cat back flanges.

Get it tuned , the tune will make a world of difference. The torque management half scales the electronic throttle input. They won't go over 50% actual throttle opening til 3500. It's why they feel so doughy from factory down low and need a lot of pedal to kick down or accelerate. The tune gets rid of this.

Also if fit headers and cats without tuning you'll always have an check power train error due to the rear 02 sensors being unplugged.

Done the two hole mod all ready. Plenum spacer goes between block an intake manifold right ?. An the 3.46 diff is that a mod or new diff all together sorry If sound bit dumb founded. How much does a tune cost give or take. An with the exhaust all I would like is a suttle tone nothing loud.

4l60e has less torque management then the 5 speed high output.

3.46 is the standard V8 manual diff.

I'd leave the factory manifolds and cats run a twin 2.25 or 2.5" mild steel exhaust with centre and rear mufflers for a subtle change.

Dyno tuned are around a grand $500 for a road tune.
