Other information.
Unfortunately this ute is a country ute, so it rarely stays clean, and the tray has recieved a good workout carrying around stuff we use on the farm. Probably one of the best things about the ute is it uses bugger all petrol. on the open highway it uses between 7-8.5l/100km but usually high 7's..and at 80kph it'll cruise around all day in 6th using high 5L/100km.
Im not sure if this is a result of the exhaust and growler..or perhaps the computers broken =S but well..this is my ute

hey dude, nice ride there..

i've got an 07 manual SVZ ute (alloytec 190).. i've got pacemaker headers/twin 2 1/2" exhaust too n sounds the same, Did you get the "Check powertrain" error after getting it?

Also.. nice fuel economy, i'm lucky to get 11L/100km haha but i do give it a bit of **** =]

When i drove my ute out of the shop after having the exhaust done, my fuel economy was about 30L/100km and the check powertrain error kept on coming up....haha turned out the young lads in the shop who installed the Growler CAI didnt re-connect the MAF sensor. but i plugged that back in and did the reset thing (holding the set & mode button while turning ignition from accessory to on) and everything was apples :D
some people have had problems with the oxygen sensors but thankfully i didnt..

Point of interest.
Previously, driving back home from uni (only a 15min trip), i'd open my bonnet and put a hand to the manifold and i wouldnt be able to keep my hand on it for any longer than a second; it was just too hot.
after seeing what LXadventra had done with taking off the alloytec engine cover, i did the same.
now, even after a prolonged trip, down to adelaide and back, i can open up the bonnet and the manifold is luke warm, even cool.
They're (covers) quite a heat trap...

Finally getting my ute dyno'd this Tuesday, not expecting anything amazing (has just clocked over the 150,000km milestone, and lets be honest, the 175KW alloytecs arent a powerhouse..)
but it will at least be interesting to see how many ponies its getting to the ground.
Does anyone have tips on how to get the best power figure out of it? Eg, clean air filter, MAF etc
