Dosnt appear to be a popular forum area here. For good reason i guess, it is a commodore site lol. However there isnt much reliable information out there for modding cruze's. So looking for some info if anyone has anything.

So I got a MY12 1.4T cruze an while it goes well and is great on fuel and makes for great family motoring...yawn. There seems to be some people out there getting some relativly moddest gains with just tunes, no intake or exhaust mods at all?? However its hard to confirm all this, and google seems to have conflicting stories on things. Mace does a tune, however there is stories out there in the interweb that recon they have suffered engine damage from this tune?? There are some other tunes floating around out there and significant price tags too. I think i paid $50 for my tune on my VR from greenfoam on here, $5-6-700 seems a bit much for a tune.

Anyone out there done any Cruze tinkering and got some good results with anything?

Possibly but i would possibly say no, mainly just due to engine mangement will prob see odd boost pressures and just go into limp mode. There seems to be plenty of info out there for USA Cruze drivers. Jst browsing around some U.S. sites now for info. Seems theres a fair concensus out there though that bang for buck these engines benifit greatly from a tune.

i dunno im a bit old school, but can you still just stick on a boost tap onto modern turbo cars these days?? worked a treat on the old Evos and Scoobs back in the day.. 20psi and go like a stabbed rat !!

20psi ?? It would last about as long as a rat with a knife in it too. LOL

well. . . . . maybe a little longer

Probably would go alright with a proper tune. Good luck finding one in Australia though. Cruze doesn't seem to have the following by people who modify cars here.

yeah as long as your fuel pump could keep up on 20lbs, not all day but when needed, my old Bd5 Legacy converted single turbo RS ran 18lbs all day every day with a Mines ecu, never went bang !... but i bet it has gone bang LOL!! RIP ;)

TBH I was referring more to the Bitsashity with 20pound going bang
