- VE SSV Special Edition
Hi all,
Thought I'd post up a few pics of my SSV - I've seen a couple around with the Vertini Magic wheels, but none with the Monaco..
Wheels were supplied by Ozzy Tyres, and they also painted the hubs black and the rear calipers red (red front brembo calipers are std on the Z) - Staggered (275 rears) with Pirelli P Zero Nero tyres.
Other bits and pieces:
- lowered
- 3 inch cat back X-force exhaust, OTRCAI + tune by Sam's Performance
- Boot swap with Z series Omega to get lip spoiler
- chrome mirrors
- tint, mats.
- Dynamat through boot, parcel shelf and rear doors, Focal Bam in front doors
- grunty old school Kicker ZR amp running 2 x 12" earthquake subs (sealed box)- very smooth bottom end.
- Focal Solid 4 running Rainbow Pro-Fi CS265 Vanadium Phase Plug Splits - truly unbelievable; really smooth and tight with R'n'B etc, but don't match too well with the sub setup for really heavy bottom end.. With house/ dance, these splits are crazy - when the midbass kicks, they push
air like an 8" sub.. I don't listen to rock, but they sound unreal with that too.. Thanks to Marty At FHRX for these - top choice!
- only problem with the Rainbow's is that unless it's a high bitrate digital file, or a CD, it's hard to listen to - half my music is now off rotation because the quality is too low..
The tune from Sam's is sweet - very smooth and driveable off the bottom, with a clean hard top end hit - not as much induction noise as the ORSSOM OTR, but the guys at work reckon it sounds more like a 'performance' car, rather than just a loud V8..
Cheers
Dan
