MY17 Specs and Release Date

Finally saw a 2017 redline in the metal, albeit through a fence. First I have seen at a Canberra dealership. Can't wait for March 31

 

Wife took delivery of her MY17 SS-V Redline sport wagon today (Heron white). Stock 19" wheels.
First Holden for our family.
I'm jealous as my daily is a 2016 Toyota Corolla Ascent.

I started a new job in October 2016 and will cover 50,000km a year travelling between work and home. I wanted to buy a Gen-F GTS, but we were unsure whether my wife would still be employed (we're scientists so funded by grants).

It wasn't looking good for her so I leased a new Corolla as I could afford the repayments on a single income.
After ordering my car my wife found out she secured 4 years of funding and a promotion. Too late for me to change my car order though

I have 2 years of the corolla, then I'll swap it for a GTS.

 

Oh dear. It's going to be a long 2 years.
I'd do it now with 4 years of 2 incomes!

 

Or swap keys !!!!

 

G'day Leon771, did it ever cross your mind she may have been holding out on the info re her job prospects until AFTER you placed your order?

 

Congrates on the amazing car, I can't stop driving mine, picked up Wednesday.... And congratulations on the funding I know it can be a difficult and unpredictable, your braver than I.... Happy to have a steady albeit, a less sciency job in a path lab.

 

If it makes you feel any better, my wife drives the Gen F GTS whilst I'm stuck in the VF SS Wagon. She goads me to race her but I know better.

First time posting a message...
I have seen and taken photos of the new Son of a Gun Grey and the Light My Fire at 2 different dealerships. Both cars are the MY17 models of the SS-V Redlines. No rumour pics, real cars. If anyone would like me to post some pics, let me know.

 

Definitely, more pics the better!

 

Received a bit of an update today...My car is slated for Feb production and is expected to arrive at the dealer on the 28th, so it should be going down the line next week some time. A bit earlier than expected, but I'm not complaining.

 

Ok, here's one for the frustrated MSE fans

It's only two weeks so hopefully it wont kill me. I feel for you MSE guys having to wait till after June, that will definitely feel like an eternity.


BTW does anyone know what is happening with the photos being taken of cars on the production line? It was mentioned here a couple of weeks ago. My dealer is looking into it for me but I just hope he gets an answer before my car goes down the line.

 

Sounds great Zero, The dealer told me that "IF" he can get me a SSV Redline Ute. I may not see it till October / November. Hopefully find out if they can get one during this week

 

Best of luck VL and I hope your dealer comes through for you. I guess judging by your location that you wouldn't have many dealers to choose from... Have you considered trying a capital city or interstate dealer?

 

No I havnt tried anywhere else at this stage.

I didn't think the dealer up here in Bundaberg would have much trouble getting one. They are a reasonably sized dealership, with a HSV Dealer as well
