MY17 Specs and Release Date

I still can't believe I got mine (SSVR wagon) as a demo 6 weeks back with only 2140kms and a host of add-ons for $45k. Will likely sell it after xmas so that the missus will let me at a Director

It had originally been ordered for another customer who had paid their deposit but then by the time the car arrived their small-town computer business had flopped and they couldn't get finance for the car any more, so the dealer registered it and used it as a demo. It had been ordered from factory with tow bar, sports armour and holden roof racks. All I had to get was the tint.

 

That price is insane! Good buy!!!

 

Mate thats almost like employee pricing except that i get brand new instead of demo for the same price ☺ still it is an insane price thats for sure : i got a manual w375 redline with 15 k worth of extras incl the w375 for 57k DA ☺ the director is worth getting thats for sure but bear in mind they will be alot more $ but u probably wont lose any $ on trade in

 

What were the 15k of extras you got?

That amazing! I just paid $55k for a brand new heron white Auto SSVR with the optional 20 inch forged wheels and boot spoiler (includes premium plates, motorsport mats and a full tank of fuel).

 

**** that is a good price too. I am paying the same for a manual with standard wheels, tint, pollen filter, luxury mats in Heron and that is on lease so no GST.

 

Hi all : bear in mind that 57k DA is employee price : u would normally pay about 73k for what i got : ive had the car for 4 months now : 15k extras were w375, wing spoiler , 20 in hf20s, paint protections , window tints , mats , lock nuts , high powered alarm and 3yr extended warranty so yeah 57k is a great price but normal retail is 73k ☺

I'm holding out for the GMH announcement on the MY17.
got a great deal on the current SSVR was tempting to by and trade in when the MY17 comes in.
Wait and wait and pay more.....hope not.
the price is based on demand, but if the dealer has stock and is slow in moving you will def get a good deal.

Employee discounts only apply on genuine holden parts and accessories : any aftermarket like w375 is normal retail

Does anyone know what's happening with the MY17 SS-V model? I've heard a few things about the magnetic ride control from HSV being included in some models, but is that only in the Redline?

Not sure if I should wait for the MY17, or try and get an MY16 at run-out prices.

... how are HSV getting 476kW out of 1 cubic inch?!?!

 

I've read & heard nothing about the SS-V, but there's not a lot left in the Redline that's not also in the SS-V.
They're talking about special editions getting the MRC, so it won't be in Redline; which means there's not a lot of scope for adding much to SS-V it doesn't already have. If I were to bet, it'll most likely be stuff like the BOSE sound system, maybe the US cop brakes as standard. But that's all guessworkery.

Hi all : only the special additions r getting mrc heated/ cooled seats n other special features etc but the standard sports models like ssv n ssvr only receive tpms n blackouts plus 3 new colours as standard over my16 sports so not much different between my17 n my 16 there : also i wouldnt think that that last special com edition would be getting any of those 250 lsa motors as there are no planned upgrades in power but time will tell i guess
