Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Very good pointFrom what I can gather, that video was shot on the first day of VF production, so the VE is most likely left over from the day before.
Hi zero, great work, thanks very much. Yes its a VE but its still the Zeta platform which is the important thing. The process will remain largely unchanged. I'll have a detailed look at it tonight (at work at moment), I might give you 3 likes for that effortThere is a great video here Martin which shows the entire process from scratch, although it is VE not VF.
Hey VL Executive. I was getting an update from my dealer about my redline's expected delivery date and enquired about redline utes. He has a manual in SOAG and a auto in white if this helps you out. If your interested call Zupps at Mt Gravatt and ask for Mitchell. Very knowledgeable and professional to deal with. Best of luck, hope you get your ute mate.I got offered a similar scenario. Order and pay a deposit over the phone from an interstate dealer, for August delivery. Then freight had to be organised. I'm not sure about doing this though. Its a lot of buggering around in my opinion.
But anyway, that came about because my local dealer cant garantee me an SSV redline ute because he wasn't allocated one. He says I should know in a week if he can do it.
Really, I think this whole thing with these "Allocations" is not good at all. All models should be available to order by anyone around the country at their Holden dealer weather they are in a regional area or not. I'm really quite disappointed. It should be a first in best dressed method for anyone anywhere. Rather than allocating certain cars, to certain dealers, in certain places. Causing headaches for people who want one.

I suspect that unless you keep the car 30 years, you wouldn't ever get back the extra you spent on the Redline (especially when compounded with either the interest if you're borrowing or owe any money on anything, or even just the cost of not having that money available to you 'cos you spent in on a Redline).Only thing it probably wont have the wow factor, and be as desirable as the Redline later on I guess.
have you thought about going interstate and then getting it sent to you or driving the car back home? Could work out cheaper.Hi Red Badge
I went and saw my dealer this morning, and he's still trying to get a Redline ute in black for me but he hasn't had any luck yet. No other dealers at the moment want to do an exchange. However, he told me again that their dealership has been allocated a regular SS ute I can have in black if he is not successful in getting the redline. I guess that way I'm going to miss out on the Brembo brakes and the full leather trim. But at least it still has the 6.2 V8, Manual, and itl be one of the last utes I guess. Only thing it probably wont have the wow factor, and be as desirable as the Redline later on I guess.
