Hi , my car as recently been repaired from a rear ender , as a concequence i've had an auto elect checking out the wiring . As some of you might know i've replaced mylink with an after market system , I do know mylink had a dimming function but since getting my car back my instrument cluster now dims when the headlights are activated . My question, is this a thing ?, from memory it wasn't

Yes both the cluster and mylink would dim with the headlights on.
There is a dimming adjustment switch next to the headlight switch

@stooge Thanx for the help finding the dimming switch but it turned out those fff.antastic fff.ellows hadn't tightened the battery terminals which left me broken down in town with my elderly mother in the motor registry, then spent the next 3 hours waiting for a tow truck to take my car to the smash repairers and then a battery joint
