MyLink USB can't remember what album it was playing last...!

The MyLink in my VF CalaisV plays an album off the USB just fine. When you stop and start the car again, the album changes randomly to one played previously for no apparent reason...! It seems to pick two albums from the USB and toggle between them each time the car is re-started, and then some times it just behaves itself too. There is nothing in the playlist listing either.
The car has been back to Holden for this fault, but Holden say there is nothing wrong with it.
Has any one else had a similar fault and what was the outcome if any?

Sometimes it will also start on USB when you were listening to the radio on shutdown. MyLink has a number of "quirks".

Does this also happen with an iPhone plugged in through USB?

Alpine Australia posted up an interesting upgrade option on their Facebook. Seen it installed on the GENF2 Clubsport at MotorEx. Looked good but didn't get to play with it. Could be our only hope of getting the Apple and Android Carplay.

I'd not be too excited about fitting an unbranded random thing in the car, but something from a large company with support & more chance of staying afloat (eg. Alpine) looks a lot more interdasting!

It happens occasionally in my R8, but most of the time it will play the track it was playing last when switched off. Just tested this morning.
