Mystery Spring

I found this spring under the edge of the drivers side carpet. Just in under it on the very right hand edge. No other random bits under there at all. Just this spring.

Anyone recognise it from something around the foot well?

Pedal assembly?

It’s an LS1 VZ Cross8.

Looks similar to the indicator return springs in older holdens but I am thinking brake pedal/go pedal return spring

Not from the accelerator pedal. Pulled one apart yesterday - there is a large coil spring under the pedal that gives the feel of a "real" accelerator. Internally just some circuit tracks and wipers to change the resistance.
