Doesn't mica indicate metallic? That blue is not, thought it was called just plain Turismo Blue?

Yeah, i think you are right.
I'm only really a fan of it on the munro - that bonnet makes up for it - it looks kinda funny on the utes and stuff.

Your right and your wrong

mica does mean metallic and yes turismo blue has a fine white/silver metallic through it.

You really need to see it up close on a clean car to appreciate it :D

Well, you learn something every day. Can't say i'm a fan of the colour, hence haven't made an effort to go and see up close.

I think the actual difference is ...

Metallic is when the paint has silver specs through the coat ...

Mica is when it has the same base colour as specs ... For example if it has specs in it, they would be of a darker and lighter metallic blue but not silver at all...

That car needs a buff ... lol ...

Yeah, I always thought that blue was a flat colour ... But most of the ones I have seen have been flying past me, and it is even har to tell what kind of car it was .... lol ...

I was thinking of painting the VN either the gold, a pearl over the alpine white, or may even have to consider that turismo mica now ...

I think the colour will look good on a smaller car (like a coupe) but on a 4 door, it is not really suited... Maybe that is just my thoughts tho .. The Evo I have got is a stolen/recovered car so it needs a bit of work... I have not decided if I will keep it this colour or not....
