Bit of an update, last few weeks I've dropped the motor out, installed the whiteline front sway bar and started the cam install.

Found this chunk of alloy sitting near the lifter bucket of the drivers side head... which raised some alarm bells.

But soon found the culprit, probably been under that baffle for ages and came loose recently. Replace that valve cover and happy days, rest of the motor looks perfect. This was from me over tightening a bolt when bolting on the coil covers.

Now to wait for my next shipment of parts from the US, lifters and a few other bits coming in that then the motor can be re-assembled.

Saw this heading and then the following picture, and immediate thought was this is your idea of clean! Hahah. The following picture is VERY clean! Even just that level of gunk being removed would be an improvement imo.

Mad update, keen to have it back together? Or loving that suby life too much?

On that, very randomly. Ive always heard from mates who have/had Subaru's that their parts are either very expensive or hard to find, have you found this to be true?

HAHA, nope. Shiny clean before it all goes back together. Keen to drive something with actual torque again, the subi is great but nothing beats v8 torque.

Subi parts are piss easy, they're everywhere - for the liberty's at least.

Engines back in? And no pictures or update? It's a crime Nathan.

But yea, life gets away from you on occasion
