Are you pushing down then twisting off (anti-clockwise)

Sticky gauges are common problem (try tapping the top of the dash)

Globe?

The rad caps need a bit of force down on it, then you can turn it.

Could be globe or fuse etc etc

OK... mystery... went to try again and the cap came off first go. Stranger than fiction.

Regarding the temperature gauge
What's the remedy for a sticky needle, besides bashing the dashboard? lol

As for the fuse box
Would not you have one fuse only for the whole dashboard?

Does the ceiling light has its own fuse?

lol yes, everything has its own fuse basically, check your Interior Illumination fuse. Pop of the fuse cover under the steering wheel, should be a sticker diagram to tell you which one is which.

The sticking fuel and temp gauge is common to every single VR/VS commodore out there. It's caused by a dry solder in the dash. You could pull it apart and fix it, but is way too much effort really, just love tap the dash when you have to.
