My girlfriend got a VT commy from a relative took it for a drive seems to have a few concerning things im curious about, its a series 2 sedan build end of 1999 if that matters at all.

Breaks omg.. sudder preety bad at ~70km+ breaking (it feels like the rotators arnt flat...) so they prob need replacing im going with the break pads probably also hit metal

on a cold start, has a little bit of struggle .. on a warm start smooth turn over not sure if thats an issue but my vt seems to turn over fine cold or warm.

transmission.. well slowly climbiming from 1-2 then to 3rd have some really big kickbacks... (should i be concerned?)

Ive been advised that the car hasnt been oil changed or trans fluid changed in at least 15,000km and has been used for country driving last 65,000km and the car is on 225,000km atm.

So a few things I'm thinking...

break rotars & pads all need replacing
going to also put 4 band new tyres on - dont worry about pricing these
wheel alignment, steers greatly to the left....
    spark plugs replaced
    trans & oil+filter replaced
i'll do a radiator flush and fill with coolant since its only been ever filled with water for as long as her step mother had it...

Need a price at least an approximate one for the break pads, rotators, alignment.. give me an idea what its going to cost her shes gotta give the rego money to her step mother next month for it so depending on how much this might cost her will depend on how soon ill fix it up.

    thanks guys.

You should be able to get rotors for about $50 each, $60-70 for a decent set of pads like bendix for the front and a little cheaper for the rear, and $40-50 for a wheel alignment. You will need to shop around.
