this is a holden forum, not toyota.
also maybe this is a bit harsh, but since you are an installer do you want to contribute as well as asking questions? can always use more people.

install

^^^^ Correct.

Now if the original poster is an installer, cant you grab a multimeter and test all the relevant wires which have voltage on them and grab a little 1.5v battery and polarity test the speakers.

Quite simple if you ask me, there is no need for a diagram.

I know it's correct. Now give me my medal. As for 1.5V battery? 'sif your gonna rip the door panels off to see which way a speaker moves.

Not necessarily, but you can hear which speaker pops. A battery is a polarity tester but it can be used to make sure your wiring the right speakers onto the right headunit wires.

And there is no need for the hero attitude, i was agreeing with you, in case you didnt notice.

Not everyone is born with the knowledge of wire colours like u so there needs to be a procedure in place on how to correctly test which wire does what.

but if you can't get the polarity correct then what are you doing putting the HU in with a battery? No hero attitude at all from me man.

Well if u dont have access to a wiring diagram and you cannot be stuffed ripping the door trim off then there is no way to get polarity correct is there :).

To me it doesnt bother at all since i know what wires are what polarity, but generally if you use a battery just to get the SPEAKER POSITIONING CORRECT. At least if you get this right then your FADER wont be out of whack. Then it doesnt matter if you get the + and - right, as long as you get the PHASING right.

You feel me :).

Sorry if i appear a little bit upfront champ i do these things in my sleep so im just trying to explain how to properly do one.

hehe installer Vs installer.
($50 on '.'!)
it just seems really stupid to myself to not go with the good old trusted method of matching colours with a trace on the neg for speakers. still its a toyota.....
