Hi there I'm new to the group I have a few issues.
My fuel gauge doesn't work and I e pulled the cluster apart and re-soldered the pins on the pcb.
Is there any way so repair/refurbish the fuel sender or would I have to get a new one?
My second issue is that my rear shocks are pretty knackered, I currently have king springs in the back, would I be able to use wagon/ute shocks in the back since they're a shorter length or would I have to find a shortened set of sedan shocks to avoid the hassle of blowing them out too quick?
    Thanks guys

    You need sedan shocks.

Only difference between wagon shocks & shorter shocks for lowered sedans is bottom bush has metal collar bolt goes through to diff bracket.

Wagon/ute shock just has the the bush no collar to slide onto larger stud mount on ute/wagon diff.

Test fuel sender with multimeter to see if it is still working & within range for gauge to work...then check wiring or see if fuel sender works.

Wagon, sedan and ute all have different dampening rates.

I'd like to believe that too but most look same & feel same when testing them with ol' ground test pushing them down etc.

Expensive ones or adjustable type yeah I believe it.

They're supposed to all have different dampening rates, when I was looking for new ones I had to buy ute ones. Wagon is supposed to be higher dampening. Might just be a way of charging more for so called ute shocks.

If you still have the cluster apart , lubricate the fuel and temp gauge spindles with silicon lube- they quite often stick on start up regardless of the signal from the sensors/voltage regulator.
