Hey guys, I’m new to this place, used it a while ago but haven’t since.
I own a 99’ VT Berlina and it’s got some issues.
It can run in both gas and petrol, but the gas system was removed by the pervious owner (took out the tank and cut the wires, not ideal)
So far, the fuel system (tank, filters, pump, and lines) have been replaced, a VY motor eco tech was swapped in (140k), spark plugs, leads, coils, and a new catalytic converter have been done so far.
the issues I’m having are a really low idle, around 500-600 rpm, and it’s really rough, shaking the car and fluctuating constantly. When I accelerate it bogs for a moment before continuing, and chugs. It gets worse as the car heats itself up.
what could be the issue here? A retune? Bad injectors? Something else? The next thing the mechanic has said they were going to do was take out the remaining gas system and check for codes (again) but can’t guarantee it will work.
