Need help identifying a connector in cluster VK

Just installing a dash into my VK, came across this connector in the cluster area. Any ideas what it’s for?

Repairing commodores can do that to you most times its worse with fords and valiants

I can only imagine! This is my first time trying to ‘restore’ a car, only ever tinkered. it’s all been pretty smooth sailing so far but that one was doing my head in! Makes life a lot easier being able to ask people who have done it 1000 times.

There were 3 types of instrument clusters with the VK. (built in 1984)

There were 2 types of instrument clusters with the XE Falcon (built in 1984)

There were 2 types of clusters with the last model Valiant produced. (built in 1981)

With the XE Falcon, the dashes were straight swaps, everything worked (only had to change oil sender unit)

With the last model valiant, you swapped out clusters and everything worked

The VK Commodore....Had wiring to do, for starters to get everything working.

From that, I'll leave you decide which brand would be harder to swap dashes with
