Hi all. I know the tension pulleys are reverse threaded and the idle pulleys are regular thread, but how the heck do you get them off? The bolts seem like they're seized on. I don't want to go too hard on them for fear of stripping the thread in the alloy. I've attached a picture to show the ones I'm talking about. The bottom one that is highlighted is a duel pulley for the drive belt and the s/c belt to attach to but that one doesn't even have a bolt. Does that one use an allen key?

vr tensioner is lefthand thread but is tight to undo initially probably due to locktite but it comes eventually and doesnt stuff anything.

40+ Nm are on those baby's..... just use a 1/2 drive socket or a ring & open ended spanner with the ring on the bolt and then interlock another ring spanner in the other open end to get more leverage to make it easier.

I had that all off recently when I did my LIM gaskets.... I did them up effing tight then looked at the specs which was 40-60 Nm so I attached a 2foot torque wrench and nipped them up... I thought the bolts were gonna break.... I only did them to 45 Nm...that was hell tight enough !

I didn't take the lower twin pulley off. I wouldn't advise using an alley key as you'll likely slip and root it. Get a proper 1/2 inch drive alley key socket to use.

The top 2 bolts are regular thread, anticlockwise to undo.
