Awesome! Soo here is a picture of them both! They look different now I'm comparing them! The more pointy one (left) is the one that feel apart from another engine.
The other one is out of my car. So maybe I'll just replace it, recommendations on the after market one or would you try for OEM?

I think all you need to do it put the new one in. I think the car relearns the position on the next start up by driving it fully closed then reopening to try and achieve the required idle speed.

So quick update,
I just got my old IAC and compressed it back in and refitted.
Car runs like a dream, for how long I'm not sure.
Definitely seems to have fixed the problem.
Cant get one from Holden as there discontinued.
my best bet is "cooldrive" there $99 and he has assured me there not Chinese.
alternatively I can get a Goss one online for $54 or from repco for $107.
Cheers

It worthwhile seeing the parts in person if you can. I’ve often found the OEM parts packaged in third party packaging from time to time.

I recall having trouble getting a throttle position sensor or IAC at the time from Holden as it was listed as NLA. I then went to the nearby Repco and purchased one of theirs instead. The Repco part (in Repco packaging) was actually identical (and the same brand) to the OEM part I was replacing on the car.

The one from cool drive said he could tell me until it's ordered in.
The one from repco looks identical to this one here.
Going to take the car for another spin soon see how it runs.
