    hi there

my Car is Chevy Caprice 2007 LS with 3.6L - V6
    Mealge is 110000 KM ( about 65000 mile )

I have noisy lifters sound since 1 year

I've tried flashing Oil but and different types of oil but no difference the sound still the same

dealer says , I should change Oil pump and open engine head to change lifters but that cost XXXX$ !

How I know the problem is from Oil pump or Lifters ??

plz check my video to hear the sound

Run it at high rev's for about 20 to 30 seconds. See if that improves the noise any.

higher rev's make the noisy faster bit the same level

the sound in the video on youtube the more than actual sound

ah well you know the issue is the lifters or the oil pump so don't be cheap and get them replaced. Otherwise turn the stereo up, there is no magic bottle of additive that will make it go away.

If there is an issue with the oil pump I would be replacing it sooner rather than later, if the oil pumps causing it, it means you aren't getting desired oil pressure and the engine will not be lubricated properly leading to early engine wear/failure. (in fact if it was my car and I determined the fault to be with the pump I wouldn't be driving the car at all until it's fixed)

If it's just a lifter it could go another 200,000km with ease.

    ^^^

    there's no Oil caution light

but I can't check the sound because of lifters or Oil Pump
changing oil pump is expensive and if it's not the real problem that's a bad situation losing money and problem is there !

    thanks
