need help with vr stato v6 ASAP

    hey all... got a mate with a problem on his vr stato... this is what i copied from his facebook "The security light on dash keeps coming up and sometimes if won't start till it goes off I'm getting power and everything just won't even try to turn over lights maybe something to do with key or the ring around the lock"... anyone know what it could be or to fix it????

    The key could be playing up and not turning the security system off when you turn the ignition on...
