probably a t 54 mbs id say, and its the speed of your connection to the net, 100mbs is insanly fast how much do you pay for that a month. 54mbs is even fast really for net access

Not sure i've got a wii, I would imagine you will have to go into the settings menu and turn the wireless on and it may need a few basic settings wich you should have there.

His internet is 100 MBPS, or 54 MBPS, that is his LAN speed, how fast the computer connects to the modem, or through to another computer on the same modem.
His interenet speed will not be affected by modem speeds, unless he has some futureristic internet.

Would have a clue, have never config a PS3 for wireless.

Your wireless internet speed will be limited by the router. I've got a wireless netgear router that has 4 Ethernet ports that support 1 gig networking, so speeds of 1 gig can be acheived if its hardwired in, but the wireless only allows speeds upto 54mbps.

Wireless is getting faster but i the max ive seen atm is 108mbps

Would there be info in the PS3 manual to set it up?

What antivirus software are you running?

Depending on what software, the wep key should be under wireless networking or the likes. Not that hard to find. Some software rotates the key every week or how frequently you want it to rotate, so you might want to include the PS3 as a protected device in the network so you don’t have to put the wep key in every time the software rotates it.

    Hope that makes sense :)

You should have setup the wep key when you setup the router, if you didnt, then chances are you havnt set it up and you dont have one. If you did set it up, you would have typed in your own wep key.
