Need some help please!

Hello JC members,

Although my car is a VY V6, Im posting in here because the VY section isnt very active. I have just finished a lot of work on my car.

Ive just done major work on my car and now when I start it it just doesnt sound or feel right, there a lot of shaking and vibrating and it feels really off. And I thought I could smell fuel.

What I have done is replace the waterpump, coolant hoses, heater tap, thermostat, intake manifold gaskets, serviced fuel injectors, new fuel pressure regulator, belt tensionor, idle wheels.

I cleaned everything, including the MAF and the little sensor in the throttle body. Degreased the entire engine. It feels likethe cars either A: not getting enough fuel or B: its not firing right....but I have no idea. Id love some help please.

Since you can smell fuel, Id be looking at fuel pressure reg & fuel injectors.
Didn't break the wires in the maf?
Injectors leaking?
Did you put the little block on the end of the tps on properly?
The spark plug leads on the correct coils? 6 & 1, 2 & 5, 4 & 1?
Checking the above will keep you busy for awhile.
See how you go, then report back & let us know how you went?

MAF: I used MAF cleaner and sprayed them down, didnt see anything break or dislodge. I was very careful.

INJECTORS I am a bit sus about the injectors, as they went in very smoothly and when I look down into where they seat I can see the top of the o-ring. But Theres no way to push them down any further unless I disconnect the rail from the plenum.

TPS: No idea what youre refering too here Im sorry?

SPARKPLUG: Im pretty confident the leads are in the right order because both ends of the leads numbered. But I will double check this.

Would it be that the computer is adjusting its settings after everything was cleaned? The fuel pressure regulator was a very tight fit, but I tapped it in with a soft hammer. Putting the retainer clip in after.

Can you see fuel leaking?

Okay so Just googled TPS. Theres no block on mine, its just one unit with an electrical connector on the side which is plugged in. J took that TOS off and cleaned it, just wondering if that would break it.

No I cant see any fuel. Would it be noticable?

As it says in Australia, its a Big Country
if you indicate a particular area/suburb, some PPL of JC may wish to physically assist you.
ie: Be able to scan it for a starting point.

Okay I cant see any leaks from the regulator, injectors or the fuel pipes that go through the firewall. Itsweird but the slight smell of fuel is more noticable in the cabin then it is in the engine.

To me, it sounds like fpr, thats at the back of the engine. Is the fpr connected the right way?
