Man you would **** all over that SS VERY easily with a ballbearing turbo on your V6. That would be hell sweet.

FFS, since when are moth balls made from Ethanol ? They are made from Napthalene...
If ethanol was fast everyone would be filling up with E10..
Just fill it up with 98 and add some octane booster .

VS Acclaim
See, I'm now somewhat confused by all this talk, mostly it seems from all the v8 drivers, that a standard 165kw v8 weighing in roughly 60kgs heavier than 147kw v6 is just soo much faster?!?
Now from the research i have been doing on this site i should be making a conservative 125kw at the wheels once my roller rockers are installed along with other mods. As a rough guide from what i can gather, rwhp seems to equate near enough to flywheel kw's (correct me if i am wrong). Example. It seems common enough for standard ecotecs to get around 110rkw, which if you work it out is as near as buggery to 147hp. Vs ecotec = 147kw at the engine.
Now, 125 kw = 167hp, so I conclude that i will have near enough to the same, maybe more, power as the SS, but with a 60kg or so weight advantage.
I also seem to recall that every 50kgs saved is good for about 1/10th down the quarter (correct me if i am wrong).
So the only logical conclusion that i can come to is that i am going to win, and i dont even need to bring into the argument the difference in tyre sizes (he has 235/45/17 I have 225/50/16 giving me approx 1.8% gearing advantage)

Therefore I win

Hmm that might be wrong. My VS Senator weighs 1610 kerb weight. That's from my owners compendium that comes with the car from factory and has all the specs etc. Plus a letter i got from HSV directly a while ago stating the weight and specs says 1610 too.

My Senator has more options than an SS would too. Leather, sunroof, climate control, kit would weigh a little more, rims would weigh a little more etc.

Even the v6 drivers are telling you. Stig is a V6 owner and has it more or less nailed. He's one of the 98% too :p
