Its not hard, if you got any mechanical skill at all you will be fine just jumping in there to do it. Basicaly drain coolant, remove fan shroud and fan, remove hoses to pump, unbolt pump, clean gasket surface, install new pump. At the same time i usaly take the radiator out and give it a good flush to
Should be bolts on the front or back of the centre of the clutch mechanism. Buy some loctite no.3 sealant when you refit the new pump and gasket, it's the best ****.
Ok all can see on front is that metal twisted around tight and locked off no bolt only can see 4 on back for pump and 6 for the fan blades themselves
??? Should have 4 bolts in the center of the aluminum clutch mechanism in the center of the blades(the bit with all the little cooling fins). Press down in the middle of the alternator belt to make it really tight, then crack the 4 bolts on the front. If you dont hold the belt down tight the fan will just spin and slip through the stationary belt.
Use some block soap (from the bathroom) and run it on the inside and out side edge of the belt. Just touch it lightly on the side as its running.....but whatch your fingers, cuffs, ect while you do it. If it stops, see if it comes back in a few days. If it does your belts prob dried out and you will need a replacement belt.
Thanks mate will try that tomorrow hopefully works. Have noticed that is a bit loose too tho since I put it back on any way of tightening them?
If you think its sqeeling cause its slipping(the alt/water pump belt does need to be fairly tight) then stick a tyre leaver or pinch bar down between the block and the alternator and lever it out nice and tight.
