my vt commodore is over heating but the problem is the temp gauge is reading normal but because of this the fans arent coming on. The only way i can get the fans to come on is when the air conditioner is on. please send back immediately

What's it doing to make you think it's overheating?

if the temp guage is reading normal than it wont be overheating. also new motors run at way hotter tempretures than older engines.

what do the bubbles smell like that are coming out. are they little bubbles or a real bad gurgling like youve cooked it bubbles thermostat could be jammed but wouldnt normally cause bubbles.

I can't say what your problem is but there are a lot of things that can cause overheating.
    1 Lack of coolant.
2 Restricted flow in the radiator
    3 Thermostat
    4 Faulty water pump.
    5 Leaking cylinder head gasket.
    6 Faulty cooling fans.
    7 Slipping drive belt.
    8 Restricted exhaust system.
    9 Low engine oil.
    10 Dragging brakes.
    11 Slipping clutch.
    12 Engine tight after overhaul.
13 Restricted airflow through the radiator.

If it smells fumy its ya gasket like if it hurts your nose if you have a good sniff.any moisture coming out the exhaust.all the bubbles sort of say head gasket to me do you get more bubbles when you rev it if the gaskets to bad it will nearly pump the water out the filler in fornt of you when you rev it.

I'm inclined to think head gasket also. Especially if they are small bubbles. If the bubbles are large it's because it's boiling.
