Vr commodore manual
Can anyone tell me what this wire connects to? This wire comes out of the loom right next to where the loom comes into the engine bay, it is a manual loom (converter from auto)

Yes you could call it an “aux tacho port”
It is connected to the negative on the coil which also is the output from the
ignition module and this energises the coil and causes the spark.
Cheers.

For a additional tacho? So there wouldn't be anything to plug into it, is that it?

Hi, yes you can connect this to
an aftermarket tacho if you can get the correct type. :)
The wiring diag shows that brown wire goes to the coil,
to the ign module and to
the tach on the cluster.
