well truth be told i deserve what i get i was speeding! but let this be a warning to all who are going to speed & choose a gdbp! ok got busted speeding on my gdbp around the 12/10/06 and i new i was going to loose my licence for 6 months and sure enough i get the letter telling me my licence will be suspended on the 3/1/07 so i had untill then to drive around but i got busted on the 24/12/06 and thought well my licence is getting suspended anyway (not that i had a smug attitude i wasnt happy getting fined) so anywayz the other day i get a letter from qld transport saying my suspension will start on the 21/3/07 and im like wth?? rang them up and they said yeah the suspension for the 21/3/07 is for the fine i got on th 24/12/06 and i said but im already on a 6 month suspension?? that started on the 3/1/07 and i havent been driveing for 2 months now?? and they said yeah but you got 2 fines while on your gdbp so i said ok so that means that if i got busted 4 times on my gdbp then i would loose my licence for 2 years?? and even the guy on the phone knew how stupid this was and he said its outta his hands and now i have to go to court and hopefully have the second suspension lifted. So technicaly ive lost my licence not for 6 months but for 10 because i wont get my licence back untill the 21/9/07:bang: :ranting: :bang: :ranting:   so be carefull about the so called 12 month good drive behaviour rubbish !

This is a good lesson to anyone always over pay your fines :)

I got one of these a few years ago and drove carefully for the whole year. Went from going 10k's over the limit everywhere to doing the speed limit everywhere. Was a painful year but a good lesson. My mate is on one at the moment and he is as careful as you can get cause losing your licence is a terrible pain :(

The only rubbish there is the fact you thought you could keep reoffending & only get punished once. What a stupid way to think. Does that mean that any murderer on bail can keep killing & only do one sentence.

I'm with vt1538, why choose a gdbp if you aren't going follow good driving practices. It's good that you know you did wrong but don't whine about getting a double suspension when you got caught twice.

lol in my first 2 weeks on gdbp i got done going 80km/h around a 90deg corner (without losing traction:D ) the cop at the lights caught up to me and basicially said how the hell did you do that! and let me off!:D :D but they did say if i was ever driving in his area again the car would be going up on the hoist and that 2 weeks into my gdbp driving like that he thought some other cop would get me down the road anyway....i've been a very good boy since:)

lol i have stupid mates who follow this principle. he has about -3 points on his license, but is awaiting his court date. until that date (which he has put off about 3 times due to technicalities) he is still driving like an idiot, and quite likely racking up more trouble for himself
