im just jelous that you guys can fit 275's under your cars :-( i had 245's and i wouldn't have wanted to go to much wider due to scrubbing issues

Yea I thought they wore quite quickly lol.
I've done a couple of small burn outs on dry ground, no smoke or anything. I tried not to do them so that I could preserve the tyre.
I can't rotate mine as they are staggered.
Maybe I should look at the Falkens.

well guys, it seems that the price of tyres has gone up :(

i just called Option 1 Garage in brissy where i bought my Kumho KU-31's for $498 fitted and balanced. they are now $372 each!

i went to Bob Jane and they can do that price too. Bob Jane also offered Nankangs for $300 each. apparently the only difference is road noise. he spoke very highly of the Kumho's also though.

does any one have any more updates on 275/30/20's they have bought? has anyone bought Nankangs??

the bloke at Bob Jane reckons it normal for VE's and XR's to only get between 15,000-25,000kms out of a set of tyres due to the way they are cambered.

rubbish. go to another tyre fitter and get more accurate advice.
getting only 15,000km out of a tyre means something serious is wrong with the suspension setup (or the driver)!

I agree totally. I've got khumo ku31"s (20"s) on my ute, up to 27thou so far and plenty of tread left. bob Jane would be the last place I'd go to for starters. shitty wheel alignments etc.. go to an independent shop I've had much better experiences with those sorts of places

Wow they must of gone up in price or i got a good deal cause i paid $2200 for 4 x Mags (fake GTS) fitted with the same size New tyres you just bought, i was worried that they gave me a cheap shitty tyre, turns out they are a great tyre. That was 18 months ago though. Done 50,000 on them and sold the car.
