Put your multimeter on amps, with the key off and out disconnect the battery and with the multi meter put a probe on the battery and the other on the clamp. shouldn't read more than 0.05a
Those SCA batteries don't last long, but they do last longer than 10 months. The issue I find with them is that they are big buggers with only about 350cca. So if you only lose a few volts they battery hasn't got enough grunt to turn the car over.
They amount of times I have jump started someone with a budget battery and they have said "but I only bought it a year ago". You get what you pay for aye.
