Hi,
Thought I would upload the pics of my new brembo front install in the calais. End result is awesome, new rotors and pads.
Job was pretty straight forward and took around 2 hours to do.

Good job, they are a big improvement over standard brakes.

Yeah they feel good. I still have to break them in properly then give them a good run. Just taking it easy for now.

Don’t take it easy on them, get them smoking without stopping the car.
Progressively drive faster and stop hard, cruise for a bit to let them cool down then do it again, finishing with a couple of really hard stops from 100km/h, let cool then you are good to go.
Taking it easy will just glaze your pads and/or rotors.

Ok will do today. Will take it for a run today. Just don’t come to a full stop right.

Yes. Also as dgp said; do repeated medium to hard (avoiding ABS), braking from progressively higher speeds. I.e.
60 to 20, say 3 times
80 to 20 X3
100 to 40 x 3
Let it cool for 10 seconds or so between braking events.
Then do a couple of 100 to 0 stops, ensuring you let you foot off the brake pedal after you come to a stop.
I think BrakesDirect have a good YouTube video on this procedure.

Do you still have the standard pads? Ceramic are a lot better.

Hi Keith,
They are Dba pads. Pretty standard. I gave them a good hard session of running in today as advised. It was fun doing it..
They are much more grippy now after breaking them in.
I will probably upgrade to the ceramics next time round. How much dearer are the ceramic pads?

Hi VE MIk.
I just checked Brakes direct price list. Forza ceramic pads are $189. I have them on my Redline, they are very good with no dust.
Another option though not ceramic are Remsa . They are $60, another very good pad, far better than standard. The only downside
is they are a wee bit dusty. If you clean your car a lot it is not a problem. I had brembos front and back on a 2007 Ve ss ute and
used remsa pads. Once you have used better pads you will never go back to standard.
Give Matt at Brakes Direct a ring. 1300724943. I don't know of anyone better to deal with.
