new clutch installed now scratching sounds

hey guys im nearly done my vr 5 speed conversion all i need is computer and small things, neway started her up and there was a scratching noise near the clutch and as soon as i put tension on the cluch pedal it goes away ne ideas ranting:

you forgot to put the rubbers on the thrust bearing.... lol i done the same thing it wont hurt the car so you may as well just wait till nest time but it is quite annoying

where do the rubbers go ???
