Got an email, Exclusive offer for Holden customers. Base VF sedan $38,000 drive away. Checked Car sales site and SV6 is already at the VE runout price of $36,000:rofl2:. Wonder if they pull any suckers.
I think that you have misread the SV6 listings. Holden had apparently barred dealers from listing vehicles on car sales sites, so maybe that has been lifted. The VE SV6 run out was the SV6 Z, with the manual advertised at $35,990 drive away (price could be beaten with negotiation), including extended warranty (5 years and 130K), free service for the first 60K/3 yrs and capped price servicing for another 30K/2 yrs. The listing states that the price does not include on road costs, so is a repeat of the official Holden pricing for the SV6 manual of $35,990 plus on road costs. Now I expect that should be able to be beaten through negotiation, but finding a cheap Commodore through online car sales sites does not seem available again yet.
Easy to read or misread the sales sites yourself. Not full of them like they were. I don't buy those dealer cars, just a price check to start shopping and playing them against each other. Looks to me like the runout price will be the same as it was in 2011 as long as they did big runs on std SV6 man sedans and sales are low they should be $35,990 drive away. The Z extras was just another way of saying the same thing. SS utes were a bargain at that time also. Brobly be same if they make it to S2.
