I am by no way involved in this car/build or anything, these photos are off another forum that isn't car related and who better to share them with! It is powered by a 6.0L supercharged (says Ls1 but pretty sure 6.0L is Ls2), build time 5 years and a whopping 300k apparently.
What a bunch of knockers. Anybody want to try to do a better job? The workmanship seems to be first rate. The concept is original. You mightn't like certain details but I'd like to see one of you do something as original or of a higher quality.
Agree with Calaber - workmanship and originality seem top notch. Result however is a vehicle that looks horrible imo. $300k that could have made something much nicer. Also as Airstrike said, wtf why would you make a feature of of the jack and wheel brace etc. That part looks especially horrible/stupid
Never said the workmanship was of a poor quality. Surely if you are going to so much effort on an early girl you wouldn't bastardise it with a VY dash:s
I'm a massive Crewman fan but this just looks terrible to me. I saw a Caprice for sale on eBay turned into a Crewman too. Another poor specimen.
It really has nothing to do with a crewman haha, just made that the topic as a joke, just a 2 door FJ ute...
I appreciate the work that has gone into that, but $300k, jeez you would have to be a pretty staunch Holden nut to spend that type of coin on a GM product.
It would've been nicer to see the original dash and lights, but its up to the owner/builder. 300k could've got him a nice exotic, but then it wouldn't be unique and different. Hats off to the guy who built it.
I'm trying to work out how you could spend that much modifying an FJ ute. I can see that a lot of time, effort and money went into this job but find 300k a bit hard to swallow.
