    hey check this out for your green slip. it's an online form from the motor accidents authority and it gives you all the insurance companies prices for green slips.

    I already checked there when I first heard about the proposed changes.

    They're all the same price, give or take $2-$3 and Allianz (the one I'm with) is one of the cheaper ones (slightly higher than NRMA).

    It's a crock, I tell you, a crock!

    A greenslip is Compulsory Third Party insurance which is required for registration. We never used to have greenslips years ago it was all incorporated in the registration fee, until the government decided to make it a seperate part of the rego so you could shop around the different insurance companies for a better deal. It was supposed to make it a bit cheaper but that didn't last long and it soon became a lot more expensive to register your car.

    I have to pay $492 + $363 = $855.

    The whole concept of registering your car is a scam. This is just unbelievable. The insurance companies already make millions every year, they don't need more! Then they make it difficult for you to get a payout anyway!

    Insurance = legal theft.

    But what can you do? Sit here and complain I suppose. I gave Allianz a call to see if I could negotiate a lower price. Even the receptionist people sound smug. It's like they know we're getting screwed and it's all going to their paycheques.

    Darwin or NZ would suit me just fine, but I can't for so many reasons!

    I hate the NSW government. They've been nothing but a bunch of crooks for so long because there has been no other choice. The NSW state liberals are a joke and have been for as long as I've been legally obligated to vote.

    NSW Govt, they think we are rich, the prices are ridiculous and I really don't know how long this ripping off is going to last, no ones getting rich (except if you have a credit card, your rich for a short time!!)
