Jarcar sell a speedo correction kit for about $70 I think. I have to know a little bit about electronics though, they give you a circuit board and all the resistors and caps and whatever else you need to solder onto the circuit board. You then have to locate your speedo cable and wire up the speedo corrector to it... you can then change your speedo by 5% increments.

I haven't done this myself but a mate at work has and he reckons it was pretty easy and worked well.

Otherwise have it fixed properly by a mechanic... no idea how much they charge but it's a bit involved I think!

EDIT: Beat me to it bill! I must be a slow typer.

the jaycar kit allows for 1% correction incriments, the howto covers it all, the kit requires very little electronic knowledge as long as you can read and follow instructions and have done a little soldering before. using the kit also means you can correct things later if you change wheel diameters etc. very usefull.

And they're less than $70 too... I paid like $45 for mine.

At a Jaycar store or Jaycar Authorized Reseller, check out their website for locations.

Also, your speedo (presuming you're coming from standard 3.08 gears) will be out by a factor of 1.26623

    Speed | Reading
    60kph | 76kph
    70kph | 88kph
    80kph | 101kph
    90kph | 114kph
    100kph| 126kph
    110kph| 139kph

Left coloumn is what you're doing, right coloumn is what your speedo reads :)

I'm currently doing the same translations for my 3.7 gears. I have the speedo kit ready to go, I just have to wait for a dry day to wire it up.

And yeah, the kit is really easy to assemble, provided you have a GOOD soldering iron, and a steady hand... and of course some common sense :D

Oh dude, I'm LOVING it :D They're the best money I've ever spent - I got LSD put in at the same time, so it's DOUBLE the fun :)

I'm also noticing, especially the way the weather has been the last week, that LSD is the safest thing out. My car hasn't so much as hinted at losing traction, and I'm very pleased with that, coming from the unpredictable single pegger.

    Worth every dollar :)

3.9s being good to you? I was tossing up between 3.7 and 3.9 gears, but when the 3.7s turned up on eBay WITH a fresh LSD for only $500, I couldn't pass it.
