Ok so today i got my new gauge overlays of ebay and thought i would do a how to incase someone didnt know...i didnt manage to get any pictures because i was to excited about getting thembut i regret it now:bang: anyhoo if you want instructions regarding the removal of the cluster from the vehicle search for it in another thread im way to lazy and tired to write another how to.. These are the steps: 1)Remove the four screws from the bottom back of the cluster 2)Release clips at the top of the cluster and remove the front cover 3)Remove needles(use a fork to pry underneath if they are difficult to remove) 4)Remove screws from faces and lift the faces from the cluster 5)Push out the two small pins from the temp and fuel gauges on the old faces and fit into the holes in the new faces(a small dab of glue may be required if they are loose) 6)Fit new face 7)Refit needles so that they sit at the 'zero' mark for each guage 8)reassemble cluster as per disassembly On some cars the needles will reset themselves when the car is switched on.If for example the speedo needle flicks up to something higher than zero when you switch the car on,you need to reset the needle to zero with the cluster wiring plugged in. I did this on my vr so it would be the same for vs but i dont know if its different for the older models. The picture is of my new gauge face anyways hope this helps somebody:thumbsup:
How do they light up at night, the onse ive got didnt work any good with light from behind so i put in a ccf fluro so it lights from the front so it looks right.
i installed mine last night.. not to sure wheter i like it yet :S lol anyways i replaced all the rear lights because one was dead. i put in t10 5watt globes and tested with the original ones from another cluster and the new globes and its much brighter. so if done replace globes!!!
