Just wondering if anyone knows how much is a brand new VY SV8 gear

Box cost(manual)!

what happened to it?

and at a rough guess id say 1700 - 2200 (thats a VERY rough guess)

Yeah troy they are!

THe gear box when in 5th gear and ya excelerate the shifter moves towards

you but like a fair bit.

It tried it in my VZ and doesnt move at all.

THis is at 100km/hr

WHat about mounts? ask Holden its under there warranty-im not a mechanic

And they said there is nothing wrong with it. My Dad said out with the old

and in with the new!

If they can't fix it they can replace it right?

Was just curious of what a Gearbox cost thats all!

For the older model (VN-S) wreckers will try to charge 2000+, yet a rebuild kit is 1200.

I got quoted 3000+ for a VY shape (in other words a VU SS box) T56, as second hand. Depends weather or not you or your folks can put it in, or if they just want to drive in drive out....

Gotta love the fact its costing us nothing as warranty is paying for it
