yes the cat cheats work i have had a set i fitted to my car a couple of years ago and no engine light with 100 cell cats , the ones i use have a small amount of cat material in them, only cost around $30 on ebay with free post, i can post a pic of them if that helps
i fitted up myself the headers and made up the cats to fit and did not want to pay for a tune as i was going to fit a cam but still have not got around to it yet maybe one day
i had a quick look on ebay and you can get australian made genie wildcat extractors with matching 200cel cats that bolt up to the standard or any after market catback that starts at the factory position , you just have to bolt them on yourself , no cutting or welding

The factory cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust, if you can get some hsv tri ys with some 200 cells custom made you'd be good to go, I always see headers and full systems on faceback marketplace, there was a full difilippo system I saw the other day for $2500, that would be my pick.

a seller on ebay is selling genie extractors and matching hiflow cats for $940 brand new, they are tri-y design , theses you can bolt straight onto your car and bolt up to your standard cat back exhaust system or any after market cat back that bolts up to the standard cats, so no welding cutting ect you can bolt it all in , a good match for these extractors is the factory hsv cat back its 2 1/2 and works really well and cheap, planet parts sell the used hsv cat backs on ebay for around $300 and your mufflers all bolt up , to save money on the tune i have added a pic of the cheats you can buy on ebay , they have some cat material in them and work really well, that system will work well and id not expensive and is aussie made

No 200cells will bolt straight up, youll need a exhaust shop to make them.
Here are 3 post I quickly found just looking on Facey.

Cool I’ll go to an exhaust shop at some stage as I only want the cats.
I all ready have the 340kw headers and 2 1/2 inch GTS exhaust with ss series 2 bimodal mufflers.
