    New ignition barrel

I went out yesterday and bought a new ignition barrel for my VP Calais. Recoded it myself for my old key, and that all worked well, But when I went to put it back in the car, it didn't fit! It goes about half way in, then refuses to go any further.

Has anyone else had this problem before, or has Holden just sold me a dud one?

    Cheers, Cogez

when reinstalling it did you still have the key in the barrel? it has to be ......however if you do have it in and it still dont work...maybe its not lining up correctly with the key way thing on the ignition switch otherwise im stumped!!

UPDATE --> Just got the barrel in with the help of a big pair of pliers. A little bit of bending of the metal on the barrel, and it fit right in. Bit stiff, but it works fine =)
