Shoes = tyres??

If the rims are the same size, then yes..

Nowhere near enough info in your post or your members ride section to give an accurate answer.

And if it's another "will VE rims fit VZ's", the search function comes in handy....Explains everything

Ummm yes but they will be a sloppy fit on the center ....the center hole is larger on pre VE wheels (there maybe hub rings to fix this)....Also the wheel stud holes I think are different but suitable wheel nuts will fix that.....

Will VZ rims fit on a VE?

The short answer is no, VZ rims will not fit (as a simple bolt on swap) on a VE/VF
The rims would need to be modified because the VZ has 12 x 1.5mm wheel studs, and the VE/VF has 14 x 1.5mm wheel studs
The only way I see it possible to get VZ rims to fit a VE/VF, would be to enlarge the wheel stud holes in the VZ rims to accommodate the VE/VF's larger wheel studs
You would also need hub rings to help locate/centre the rims properly as the VZ rims have a larger diameter hub bore

At this point in time I haven't heard of, or know of anyone who has done it though

Thx for clarification....so you need certain wheel nuts to take up the slack on VE wheels on pre ve cars.....
I know of one person that fitted pre VE 20" simmons wheels on their VE, but wasnt sure what they did to fit em ....must have run a 14mm drill bit through the holes :D
Also a few aftermarket wheels come as uni fit....
