pedders 2016, well if you put in spring that are designed for a deawoo espero, vw bora & 316 bmw what do you expect, its the wrong spring for the car, why do you think the guys who installed it said it may cause damage, i think to cover there ass, but silly them for installing them in the first place. wouldnt be suprised if your rear x-member cracks in half.

See if I knew they were not designed for my car there was no chance in hell I'd have them put in, Swapping back to old ones after work,

Proberly painted a bad image of myself in this thread hey.

Thanks everyone who replied helpfully

Well, I don't know about any damage to your reputation on the forum, but do you mean to say that you didn't even check to see what the springs were intended to fit BEFORE you purchased them?

Now, that is DUMB!

In all fairness to you, a reputable business would never have sold and installed those springs, so you must have dealt with a pretty piss-poor business. Even if you had been adamant that you wanted those springs, they should have refused to fit them.

Yeah fair point, still a P plater rocks up in a VZ wagon on 19s, with his ######## mate in a VT SS with stockys on the rear ( Yeah I Know ) behind him, they going to assume the worst, I know I would.

We all make silly mistakes, so long as you learned something from this it wasn't a wasted experience.

I can't count the number of times I've buggered things up when working on my car. But fixing it yourself is great for learning.

If that company thought that a piece of paper would protect them from legal action if your car had been involved in a serious accident, they were having themselves on.

I imagine another thing you've learnt is to stay right away from that mob and advise your mates to do the same thing.

I find it astonishing that a company would fit springs for a small four cylinder sedan into a large six cylinder wagon, then give you a piece of paper that says "we accept no responsibility". They fitted them - they were responsible. What a pack of ****-heads. (the company, not you or your mates)

You said they were Pedders springs. Without naming any specific firm, was it a Pedder's branch?

certain tyre franchises in melbourne (wont name them) (not tyrepower), will make your car as low as you want it , problem is there is are things called geometry and travel, cars arnt ment to be so low, they look good but not practicle, stick with tyrepower for tyres as long as you dont have a bad taste in your mouth but use a suspension specialist.
